Mercedes Benz Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Mercedes Benz cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price for September is R 2 361 549. During October there was a slight reduction in the selling prices dropping till R 2 233 726. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from R 2 297 637,5 to R 2 215 561,5. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from R 2 256 599,5 to R 2 213 909 during January and February.
The average price for Mercedes Benz has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2020, the average price is R 229 271,73. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (R 43 422) moving up till (R 682 135)in 2020. During the next two years (2021, 2022) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 339 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 14 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (R 1 173 114,25) and the the last two years that were studied (2023, 2024) with a price of R 1 340 506.

They are 90 % more affordable than the average price (R 2 206 752). Next with a price of R 625 521 and a mileage range of "100 000 - 200 000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10 000". It is 16% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10 000 - 25 000" priced at R 1 525 683.

It is 25 % less expensive than the average market price (R 2 206 752) followed by "Diesel" priced at R 1 666 727. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 24 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of R 1 644 230.

These are followed by those with 2 doors with an average price of R 367 219. Cars with the lowest average price have 5 !doors and are 16 % cheaper than the average followed by those with 4 doors with a selling price of R 1 052 244.
