BMW 5 Series Vehicles have had a price that has remained pretty much the same during the last months. The prices for this particular model have remained constant recently.
The selling prices for BMW 5 Series cars have remained constant in the last 6 months. The average price in October was of R 237 783. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at R 237 054 during November. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from R 237 418,5 to R 250 440. In the last two, the price has gone through a -9 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from R 243 929,25 to R 221 420,5 during February and March.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2017, the average price is R 151 304,19. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (R 63 843) moving up till (R 432 809)in 2017. During the next two years (2018, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 132 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 9 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (R 388 101,5) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of R 424 666,5.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200 000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 56 % more affordable than the average price (R 213 154). Next with a price of R 124 933 and a mileage range of "less than 10 000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "10 000 - 25 000". It is 461% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "25 000 - 50 000" and a price of R 440 450.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars marks "Diesel" as the most costly fuel type. It is 19 % more expensive than the average market price (R 213 154) followed by "Petrol" priced at R 780 642. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 266 % higher than the average market price followed by "Diesel" which costs R 254 035.
