The retail prices for Fiat 500 cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. In July the price for a car is R 169 035 increasing till R 178 388 in August. During the following two months (September, October) the average selling price rose somewhat going from R 173 711,5 to R 193 123,5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 17 % with an average price of R 183 417,5 during the previous 4 months and R 214 805 during the most recent months in November and December.
The average price for Fiat 500 has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2011 and 2013, the average price is R 69 401,34. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2011 (R 61 233) moving up till (R 80 757)in 2013. During the next two years (2014, 2017) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 91 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 34 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (R 200 377,5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2021, 2024) with a price of R 268 289.
