Volkswagen Touran Vehicles have gone through a slight rise in their retail price recently. The prices for this particular model have risen.
The retail prices for Volkswagen Touran cars have increased during the last 6 months. In October the price for a car is R 95 834 increasing till R 107 294 in November. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from R 101 564 to R 108 157,5. The average price has risen 5 % during the last two months. This result was obtained based on the price for the first four months (PRECIO1!) and the price (R 110 340,5) during February and March.
The average price for Volkswagen Touran has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2005 and 2013, the average price is R 129 694,6. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2005 (R 95 475) moving up till (R 192 950)in 2013. During the next two years the average price(R 130 100) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -27 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (R 102 050) and the the last two years (2022, 2023) with a price of R 74 000.
