Honda Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Honda cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in October was of R 633 505. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at R 620 106 during November. The following two months (December, January) the selling price went through a devaluation of -8 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from R 600 397 to R 579 174,5 during February and March.
The average price for Honda has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2020, the average price is R 110 331,68. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (R 48 082) moving up till (R 254 513)in 2020. During the next two years (2021, 2022) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 124 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 29 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (R 346 127,5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2023, 2024) with a price of R 444 828,5.
The graph that displays the price for Honda cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200 000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 85 % more affordable than the average price (R 611 626). Next with a price of R 213 275 and a mileage range of "100 000 - 200 000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10 000". It is 3% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "50 000 - 100 000" priced at R 292 345.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Honda cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 60 % less expensive than the average market price (R 611 626) followed by "Hybrid" priced at R 501 050. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 5 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Hybrid" with a price of R 501 050.
The graph showing the average price for Honda cars displays those with 2 doors as the cheapest ones. They are 63 % more affordable than the average price (R 611 626). These are followed by those with 4 doors with an average price of R 317 424. Cars with the lowest price have 5 doors and are 10 % cheaper than the average previously displayed.
